Take me to St Kilda Beach Route 96
Melbourne trams are the grand dames of this vibrant and diverse city. Since 1889, these iconic trams have traversed across the city streets connecting people for business and pleasure. Who can forget the sound of those steely yellow and green ladies clanging down the tracks, completely oblivious to the curve squeal of the tracks as we boarded and saluted the conductor who bell punched our cardboard tickets?
For over 115 years, Route 96 becomes the backdrop of thousands of stories from people heading to St Kilda Beach, winding down the tracks to a beach adventure and returning home complete with new yarns about our day at the beach.
